Digital Work

Along with Nora Slonimsky (Iona College/Institute for Thomas Paine Studies) and Ben Wright (University of Texas-Dallas), I recently co-organized a workshop on the “Age of Revolutions in the Digital Age.” You can watch us describe the goals of the symposium above and check out the program as well. We’re currently working on an edited volume that builds on the symposium, which is under contract with Cornell University Press.

My first major foray into digital scholarship was in 2015–2017, when I worked in the New York Public Library’s Manuscripts and Archives Division on the Early American Manuscripts Project. This collaborative effort with archivists, librarians, curators, and digital humanists ultimately digitized and made freely available over 50,000 pages of 18th and 19th-century manuscripts You can find links to the materials we digitized, as well as all of my writing about the collections and the digitization project on the NYPL website.
